M2o focuses on 5 thematic areas,
aware that the greatest challenges of the future will develop in these fields:
These challenges, starting from citizens’ daily mobility choices, are inevitably related to the exploitation of the energetic resources and to the resulting impact on the environment and on the “health” of its inhabitants.
Therefore, it is strategically relevant to involve the leading experts of these industries to comprehend policies and strategies to adopt, in short term as well as in medium and long term, to manage the ongoing changes, with the aid of the most advanced technologies available and with an increasing attention to individual needs of mobility, to the type of resources used to meet them and to the sustainability of the chosen solutions, to reduce impacts on the environment.
The choice falls on these five thematic areas because they are considered strategic and strongly interconnected. This interconnection involves the need of a homogeneous analysis of the reality, avoiding fruitless partitions that would reveal to be useless and counterproductive. It is, in fact, thanks to a constant dialogue and to a continuous collaboration between policy makers, operators and users of different sectors, that will be possible to make forward-looking and more informed choices in terms of policy, implementation strategies and final impacts.
